Our tournament team has quickly become the largest competition team in North San Diego County. Under Sensei LoBell’s instruction, our competitors have earned over 100 trophies and awards, ranging from 1st – 3rd place and more, in just this last tournament season.

Our Competition Martial Arts Training is all led by the absolute best teachers you can find. Here at Team MAI, we’ve distinguished ourselves by emphasizing high quality instruction from leaders that have experienced the highest levels of competition successfully.
We have quickly become known as the place to be if you’re wishing to take your Karate training to the next level!
We reserve our Competition training for students that are willing to dedicate themselves to an unrelenting pursuit of excellence. Tournament team is a 2 year commitment which includes additional practices and try-outs are held each January. Our team competes in 3 required tournaments located in Southern California, all of which are 4 and 5 star rated IMAC and NASKA competitions.
After 2 years on Tournament Team, a student can be eligible to try-out for our World Team, an elite team which includes advanced sparring, weapons, showmanship, and a Las Vegas tournament.
